American Savings Bank opened its reimagined location inside the Honolulu Walmart on Monday, the first of four "digital banking centers" it plans to introduce in 2021.

The former traditional branch at 700 Keeaumoku Street has a small human staffing presence, but expanded digital banking options including 24-hour full-service ATMs and the ability to speak to a banking specialist both in-person or virtually.
