September was an eventful month for us at the Hawaiʻi Leadership Forum. We launched Cohort IX of the Omidyar Fellows program, involving 16 new Fellows actively participating in a redesigned 9-month curriculum to build stronger leaders, more effective organizations, and cross-sector connections necessary to take collection action and drive impact.
Last month we also held our biennial Forum of Fellows Summit, where we gathered members of our first eight cohorts. We spent three days on Maui, where we had a chance to reflect, reconnect, honor and be inspired by the contributions by many of our Fellows as they continue to catalyze positive change in the community.
Many of our Fellows continue to take on new leadership roles. In this issue, you’ll learn about their transitions as they bring you along on their respective journeys. And you can read about other Fellows and Hawaiʻi leaders in the fall issues of Hawaiʻi Business Magazine, in a special section presented by the Hawaiʻi Leadership Forum. The September issue focused on leaders in sustainability, while October featured visionary wāhine leaders. We’re proud to share their stories with you.
