Their “Wastewater Alternatives” proposal includes two pilot projects that will provide helpful sanitation options for Kaua‘i County:

  • Installing Cinderella Incineration Toilets in remote facilities in partnership with county & government agencies
  • Creating a new and unique option for cesspool replacement for homeowners, using a combination of Cinderella Toilets and a gray water recycling system

The public is invited to review proposals for the grants and provide feedback, which is factored into the selection process. You can view WAI’s full proposal and offer comment here. (Registration is required to submit an opinion.)

The deadline for public comment is February 22, 2021.
